I bought these strawberries this morning here in Bellevue at a farm out on the River Road. Cut up and topped with whipped cream they look conventional enough.
But look closely at these. They appear to be sprouting antennae from their little tops.
Or maybe satellite dishes-
They taste good, though.

Fun to find these, they are berry clusters, each with its own seed.
The strawberries look delicious and the plate they're on is dead gorgeous.
Oh my that looks yummy. I just love our locally home grown strawberries. I even have some wild one in my woods but oh so tiny. It would take half a day to pick a cupful. Also found your comments on America Newspaper of Record interesting. In the day, I too looked forward to the book reviews....
