Bird Report for April 11

The first Ruby-Throated Hummingbirds have come back to Tennessee, according to Also the first Prothonatary and Blackburnian Warblers. No Barn Swallows yet, but they could be back this afternoon.

They will have a busier spring than usual. Their nests in the parking sheds were taken down by workmen repairing the sheds and repainting.

Seventy five degrees expected this afternoon, and everything is blooming at once. Bad news for asthmatics and allergic people like me!

I have seen a few swallows I thought, but not the huge flocks that frequent along my river land.
